"I created this programme for women who want to reconnect with their feminine nature. We differ from men in that we live in cycles and we need to adapt our yoga practice and self-care in line with this. This programme dives deep into the female life cycle and also our monthly cycles and why it’s vital that we acknowledge and embrace every different stage. 

Society has constantly told us to ignore or be embarrassed by menstruation. We’ve been told, “It’s not an illness! It’s just your period!” However, if we continue to ignore our intrinsic biological rhythms and hormonal fluctuations, our energy levels will falter. We’ll feel exhausted, drained, demotivated, and that we’re fighting a losing battle. The fact is that embracing our female cycle is essential for our well-being, all month - and all life-long.

This programme will dive deep into the roots of feminine yoga and the relevance of the Goddess archetype in embracing each life stage. We’ll learn about female physiology and how to adapt our yoga practice throughout the month and the seasons of the year in a way that's therapeutic and feels good. We’re going to embrace our current life stage, our beautiful female instincts and watch our energy levels and lust for life soar as we reconnect with our true nature.”

"I've been blessed with 25 years in the yoga world, working with amazing women at every stage of their lives. I've guided over 100,000 women across the UK, helping them find balance through their cycles, embrace pregnancy, bond with their little ones, and gracefully handle menopause symptoms. 

On my yoga adventure, I created The YogaBellies Sadhana, a unique approach to provide ladies with a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment that's just right for them. 

But yoga isn't just about nailing those poses—it's about learning to love and appreciate ourselves through all of life's ups and downs. My YogaBellies approach is all about body positivity, self-love, and embracing our unique selves.

I'm also super passionate about empowering women to build fulfilling careers as yoga teachers. My experience in creating a successful yoga biz means I can share loads of valuable insights, guiding budding YogaBellies teachers in building their own thriving practices.

We are Half way through already! I have really enjoyed the EMPOWER 300 YTT course thus far, Module 1 really opened up a whole new depth of yoga knowledge particularly the spiritual aspect and I loved learning more about Ayurveda, Module 2 has really allowed me to appreciate our natural cycles & opened my eyes to living more in tune with nature, the seasons and in particular the moon and it’s relation to our menstrual cycle, as the course is limited to a small number of women it feels like an intimate group and safe space to share our personal experiences and wisdom together and make real friends whilst gaining a deeper understanding of yoga philosophy and practical knowledge. I am pleasantly surprised by the in depth course materials provided by Cheryl especially the extra courses for foundational yoga knowledge which is particularly beneficial for a non yoga teacher like me, the lifetime access to the materials also means I can dip in and out of these areas of study at my own pace and in as much depth as I choose, the hormonal eating plan, birth rocks, pregnancy and menopause additional materials included also provide for greater understanding of these topics alongside the EMPOWER course. I have also enjoyed access to the Yogabellies teachers lounge as well as the empower group to provide further opportunity to meet others in the yogabellies family and gain some insight from other yoga teachers and their existing knowledge. The course is refreshing in that it does not put high pressure on us to achieve certain academic grades and feels more about growing and learning over time and understanding that each module can be completed without having to “know it all” at once but that we can use the live lectures, handbooks & nest sessions to gain a foundation of knowledge in the particular module area and to sufficiently complete the module but know we will continue to use the additional materials and recommended reading throughout our lifetime and that together with our own personal yoga practice will enable us to develop practical yoga and teaching skills over time. Also thanks to the small groups undertaking the course at any given time, it means rather than feeing like a lost number in a high volume academic setting, I feel my voice can be heard and I can gain a deeper connection with those participating and teaching in the course despite being online rather than in person training and also allows for those of us to share the course across different countries. I would definitely recommend the course to any other women seeking a new challenge and wanting to develop their yoga practice and knowledge and/or wishing to teach female friendly yoga at every life stage. I was completely at a loss with where to start in following my dream of yoga teacher training and fulfilling my wish to gain greater knowledge on all things women's health and wellness. I have enjoyed learning the theory, improving my knowledge on the practical side of yoga, deepening my understanding through the brilliant book recommendations and learning alongside the other wonderful women on the course. It has given me confidence that I had lost and it has given me a renewed energy to help other women as I taken my training into practice. I wasn't sure how I would find the online aspect of the course, but it gave me the flexibility to study around my young family, not always being able to make a live meant I could catch up in my own time and the nest allocation was the perfect chance to get additional support from peers and more importantly make friends. It is truly a course that every female at every life stage will benefit from. I have not only learned so much about yoga, but I have also learned about the wonders of the human body, our hormones, the impact of our environment, the importance of diet and nutrition, the wonder of aromatherapy, and most importantly myself. I can honestly see why the course is called Empower. It’s so inspiring to me as a female. The wealth of information is amazing and will keep me invested to keep learning for years to come! Even if you do not want to teach at the end of it, I’m still on a bit of a journey with this 😊 the things you learn about yourself for your own personal development is great. I love the content. I’m a busy working mum of two kids so I do wish I had more time to spend on the course as I love it but I’m trying to give myself more time for myself. That’s one of the things this teaches us. It’s not optional to look after ourselves as women, it’s essential. I’ve loved getting to know Cheryl who I think is the most incredible woman I’ve ever come across and the other ladies who are all so supportive. I just wished we all lived near each other but I’m sure we will all meet in person at some point in the future!

I am part way though the Empower training and really loving it. The content is relevant to me and the different stages of my life (I began peri-menopause within 12 months of having a baby), and is also giving me the knowledge and understanding I need to become a yoga teacher. I am managing to fit the requirements of the course around work and family life, and although I found everything a little overwhelming initially, I’ve come to realise that’s how I react to anything new! Once i got my head around the schedule and got organised, I’ve loved it. Cheryl is always on hand to help if we have any issues and her knowledge and own journey is truly inspiring.

What Is Seasons and Cycles™ ?

I created this programme for those who want to become an expert in women's wellness throughout the month and throughout every female life stage. This is not dry teacher training course, we look primarily at YOU living and embracing your yoga - on and off the yoga mat - throughout the menstrual cycle and even if you don't menstruate - the lunar phases. 

You will learn the YogaBellies practices, for each phase of the month and each of the female life stages. This will allow you to embody each practice as you learn it. 

This training is equal parts practicing and teaching yoga; personal development and empowerment skills. Seasons and Cycles is a real game-changer and is going to make a huge impact on your life and on the lives of the women you work with.


How does the Seasons and Cycles 50-Hour course work?

Each of our 50-Hour YTT are individually accredited courses on their own (or can be added together to qualify for the 300-hour EMPOWER™ qualification.) You can join in with our live online teaching sessions for the 50-hour YTT, or you can simply view the recordings and complete the assessment in your own time. Everything you need is available to you online instantly on sign-up and you will receive a 50-Hour YTT Certificate accredited by Yoga Alliance International on completion.

This course runs live online every March and September but you can join at any time and access all of the course materials instantly. You can choose to attend the lives or complete in your own time.

If you are simply joining this programme for your own personal wellness, there is no requirement to complete the coursework.

What do the 50-Hour Courses Cover?

With a focus on yoga for physical, emotional and mental wellbeing throughout the female life stages - in this course, we focus on living in season with the universe, and also our internal universe. This means embracing our female life stages and phases of the month, where we experience hormonal highs and lows. We’ll cover yoga and wellness for the menstrual cycle, female-specific illnesses and conditions - as well as balancing hormonal fluctuations;  yoga through the seasons, nutrition, self-care, Ayurveda for women's health… oooft! Cheryl will lead you on a deep, personal journey, no matter your level of yoga experience. Seasons and Cycles™ will allow you to begin the journey to understanding and embracing the cyclical nature of female life and show you how to lead other women to do so too.

How is the training delivered?


1. Live and Interactive Sessions

You can start the Birthing the Mother programme online in your own time or join our live sessions (each 50-hour course runs live twice a year) at no extra cost. The course blends weekly live online yoga teacher training, guest expert sessions, and daily interactions in our online forum with the YogaBellies team and fellow students. Each week of training, you'll engage in a combination of these sessions and home study. We're always in touch, ensuring you stay on track throughout the course. And if you miss a session, you can access it later at your convenience.

2. Handbooks and Resources

You'll receive comprehensive course handbooks, adaptations for different female life stages and conditions, cheat sheets and more. If you choose to become a licensed teacher (optional), you'll also be provided with pre-written YogaBellies class plans.


3. Online Learning

Our online resources include pre-recorded live YogaBellies class videos, lecture and asana breakdown videos, all with lifetime access and the flexibility to watch at a time that suits you. You'll also have access to downloadable handbooks, asana cheat sheets, slide shows, audio learning materials, and more.

4. Assessment

For the 50-Hour YTT qualification, you'll need to complete an online quiz and submit a short video sequence to gain your certification. However, if you're taking the course for personal reasons, this isn't required.
